Esports Lands in Southeast Asia
A first for the region
KIN, in collaboration with BLAST and Redd+E, co-organised the BLAST Premier World Finals 2024 — marking the first time this global esports championship was held in Southeast Asia. Held from October 30 to November 3 at Resorts World Sentosa, the event drew participants and spectators from around the world.
The project was more than a competition: it was a landmark moment for local and regional esports communities. KIN’s objectives were clear — introduce a global-level esports event to the region, create an unparalleled spectacle, and contribute to the growth of esports in Singapore.
KIN set out with three goals: introduce a global-level esports event to Southeast Asia, creating a landmark moment for local and regional communities; deliver an unparalleled esports spectacle with intense competition and unforgettable experiences; and contribute to the growth of esports in Singapore by igniting industry-wide development and supporting a vibrant, inclusive community.
By teaming up with BLAST and Redd+E, KIN leveraged combined expertise to ensure a high-quality event. The focus was on creating a unique and engaging experience — from immersive event design to the selection of competitive games that appealed to a wide audience. Extensive efforts were made to involve local and regional esports communities through interactive activities and inclusive participatory opportunities.
The five-day event featured top-tier esports competitions, with activities designed to maximise engagement and provide entertainment beyond the matches. The event attracted attendees both in-person and virtually from across the globe, with a significant increase in local and regional esports community engagement.
The successful execution has been credited with setting a new benchmark for esports events in Southeast Asia, propelling Singapore into the spotlight as a key player in the global esports arena. Through strategic partnerships, innovative planning, and a commitment to community engagement, KIN established a new standard for esports events in the region.
