Bringing World-Class Urban Sports to the Heart of the City

How Kin Co-Organised a High-Impact Sporting Event That Engaged Singapore’s Youth Community

When it comes to event management that pushes creative boundaries, Kin has consistently demonstrated its ability to deliver exceptional experiences. The FISE Singapore 2025 event, held on November 22-23, 2025, at *SCAPE and Somerset Skatepark, exemplifies how a well-executed sporting event can energise an entire community while showcasing world-class athletic talent.

The Challenge: Launching an International Urban Sports Festival

Kin partnered with Hurricane Group from France to bring the internationally acclaimed FISE (Festival International des Sports Extrêmes) to Singapore for the first time. This collaboration saw Kin playing the role as co-organiser and promoter for the event, once again demonstrating its agility and ability to leverage its extensive event management experience and network to take on ownership and creative control.

This partnership required seamless coordination between two organisations across continents with different working procedures and cultural approaches. The primary objectives were clear yet ambitious: maximise attendance, promote urban sporting events in Singapore, and create meaningful youth community engagement. Being a “teaser year” designed to showcase world-class athletes and connect with the local urban sports community, the stakes were high for establishing FISE as a fixture on Singapore’s sporting calendar.

Strategic Event Management Across Borders

Kin implemented a structured approach to event management, conducting bi-weekly work-in-progress meetings with their French counterparts to ensure alignment throughout the planning process. This international collaboration, while initially challenging due to unfamiliar working procedures, ultimately strengthened through open communication and post-event debriefs that helped both agencies streamline their processes. The timeline was carefully orchestrated with five days dedicated to setup and two days for teardown, ensuring that every aspect of the sporting event met international standards.

Creating an Immersive Urban Sports Experience

FISE Singapore 2025 marked an exciting milestone as the inaugural edition of FISE in Singapore, forming part of the Singapore Urban Sports and Fitness Festival. The event was designed to captivate both dedicated enthusiasts and curious newcomers, featuring high-level demonstrations by world-renowned athletes from around the globe and transforming *SCAPE and Somerset Skatepark into a vibrant showcase of extreme sports talent and culture. This dual focus on world-class entertainment and grassroots participation created an inclusive atmosphere that resonated with urban sports enthusiasts and youth.

Marketing Strategies for Maximum Impact

Kin deployed a comprehensive marketing approach that leveraged social media channels and strategic partnerships, generating a total public relations value of more than SGD500k across 30 pieces of coverage spanning print, online, broadcast, and social media platforms.

Kin secured significant media coverage, including a feature in The Straits Times and a broadcast segment on Money FM 89.3 worth over SGD 100k. Online coverage across 14 publications generated more than SGD 150k in PR value, with features appearing in prominent outlets such as AsiaOne, Time Out Singapore, and Expat Living. The marketing reach extended beyond Singapore’s borders, garnering attention from Malaysian publications including The Star and Sinar Daily.

Social media proved particularly powerful for this sporting event, accounting for 48.5% of the total PR value across 14 posts. Platforms like Mothership generated combined coverage valued at over SGD 150k, demonstrating the viral potential of compelling urban sports content. The partnership with Hurricane Group and tapping into FISE’s established international reputation positioned the event to be globally significant and locally relevant.

Event Execution and Community Impact

The FISE Singapore 2025 sporting event successfully attracted an estimated 5,000 attendees over its two-day run, creating a significant gathering point for Singapore’s urban sports community. The festival’s execution demonstrated Kin’s capabilities as an event management leader, handling the complex logistics of international athlete coordination, venue management, and audience experience optimisation. Beyond the immediate spectacle of world-class athletic performances, the event served a larger purpose in promoting urban sporting events within Singapore’s cultural landscape and creating pathways for aspiring athletes to connect with the broader urban sports movement.

Looking Forward: Building on Success

FISE Singapore 2025 represents more than just a successful sporting event. As the inaugural edition within Singapore’s Urban Sports and Fitness Festival, it marks the beginning of what could become a signature component of Singapore’s sports calendar, laying important groundwork for future iterations and creating a template for effective international event management.

Significantly, this event showcases Kin’s agility in transforming from sporting event delivery partner to co-organiser and promoter. By drawing on their established reputation and deep expertise in managing major sports events, Kin has proven their capability to step into leadership roles that require not just operational excellence but also strategic vision, marketing acumen, and the ability to build international partnerships.
